Foreign Experts
The foreign experts working in UIR mainly include long-term foreign language professors and short-term foreign experts retained through the Recruitment Program of Foreign Experts sponsored by the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA).
The long-term foreign language professors of UIR come from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, France, etc. They teach language courses in English, Japanese, French and specialized courses to both graduate and undergraduate students. UIR also invites visiting scholars from Canada and Japan to undertake joint teaching and research projects with UIR professors. In addition, professors from the Institute of Cervantes in Beijing teach the Spanish minor program in the university.
UIR invites short-term experts and scholars through the Recruitment Program of High-end Foreign Experts sponsored by SAFEA to give lectures or carry out research projects. Since 2013, UIR has invited professors and experts from over 10 countries and regions every year to teach at the international Summer School.
The foreign experts and visiting scholars of high academic caliber at UIR constitute an important part of the faculty and have substantially improved the international teaching standard of the university.
